NOVEMBER IS HERE!
That means it’s gratitude month, so I’ll be sharing 5 things I’m grateful for everyday with one of my friends/loved ones via text or social media.
I’ll start here:
1.) Continuing my fitness progress at CrossFit and Crunch Gym.
2.) A boyfriend who I just put on a plane (for 17 days), who’s supportive, loving, hilarious, and so giving.
3.) CHEAT DAYS
4.) Extra hours at work so I can save up for the holidays.
5.) Spending time with loved ones this holiday season, because life is short and food is good.
Doesn’t it feel like we are always running season to season? Like “I can’t wait for the cooler weather to come, this heat is unbearable.” Then before we know it, it’s “OMG I’m so cold, when is warmer weather coming?” Meanwhile life is just passing by… I feel like it was just the start of summer and now HALLOWEEN is already over.
This year’s costume was kind of a bust. I only had the idea a week before, and implementing it was kind of hard. I spent too long getting ready and not enough time partying in my costume: Beauty Mauled by the Beast. #BloodyBelle
Now I can check off “learning how to make fake black eye/bruises” from my list of wanted talents. Thank God for YouTube makeup tutorials. What did we even do before them?
So remember when I did a Giveaway for Simple Mills Paleo mixes? Well I still have a few leftover that I’ve been making recipes with. Since it’s fall and all, I thought I’d whip up a batch of Autumn Pumpkin Cupcakes using their Pumpkin muffin mix. DELISH! For the 1000th time I can’t tell you how convenient these mixes are. I absolutely love baking, but sometimes I just want to take the easy route instead of spending time measuring out baking soda, almond flour, etc. These mixes are golden. GOLDEN.
I’d also like to state, for the record, that I had my first of the season, and probably last, PSL from Starbucks the other day. It was a cheat day, my friend and I were on our way to Knaus Berry Farm (on the third day they were open for this season), and I was feeling a little YOLO. This is how my PSL experience went:
I ordered a tall PSL, one pump. I gave them my name (the most #basic of white girl names, Rachel), and then hid in shame as they yelled out “Pumpkin Spice Latte for Rachel!” So embarrassing. I should have given them an edgier name. *facepalm*
I then concluded to take half a dozen Knaus Berry Farm cinnamon rolls to the face, in a stand against gluten-free conformity. It worked out until I started having gastrointestinal problems, and then I vowed to never do that again, like I do every year, yada yada yada. Oh the viscous cycle…
