So Paleo f(x) is in almost 1 week! I’m freaking out. This is going to be my first time traveling somewhere without having someone waiting for me at the airport. I’m going to put my Big Girl panties on and rent a car and drive it to the Airbnb house I’m splitting with 6 other Paleo bloggers. I’ve never met any of them face-to-face so this should be really interesting and fun
Let’s be honest. I’m super excited to see Mark Sisson and my other idols in the flesh, but my main focus is going to be the FOOD. If you have any good food recommendations, holler at me. I’m going to be manning the Page Street Publishing booth on the expo floor throughout the weekend. Don’t forget to stop by and say hi!
SO GUYSSS. I think I’m killing it at Crossfit. I’ve been doing it now for almost 2 months and I feel like I’m finally getting all of the movements down pat. My arms/shoulders are also looking pretty sweet. Shoutout to Reebok CF Miami Beach and all of my awesome coaches. The only downside I foresee is that it’s only April and the box is a freaking sauna by noon. SO BAD. I’m also very sensitive to overheating (as made obvious by my rosacea flare-ups), so I can’t even imagine what the box is going to feel like in the dead of summer. Yeesh!
I’ve been drinking this protein shake after every WOD to help me recover quickly. I used to drink a shake similar to this before I starting supplementing with protein powders, but a scoop of Formulx has really kicked this shake into turbo gear. Now I REALLY look forward to drinking my post-WOD shake.
Formulx is actually a local Miami company. I had seen them around my favorite Paleo IG accounts but had no idea they were practically my neighbors. As far as protein powders go, these guys are legit. They use “grass-fed, non-GMO whey protein isolate that is free of soy, sugar or artificial sweeteners.” So basically no nasty artificial crap or other dubious ingredients that make me feel sick after drinking them. I’m a total fan and will be ordering more soon.
