I know I say it every time, but yep: these are my new jam.
I first came across the concept of making chocolate energy clusters a couple months ago when I realized HOW FREAKING EASY THEY ARE to make. I wanted to bring yummy treats to work and a cluster recipe seemed the easiest since I had all the ingredients in my home. I love it when that happens.
Actually this recipe works great with any ingredient substitute. I think if you were to go out and buy every single item on this ingredient list you would spend an arm and a leg.
“Superfoods’ are freaking expensive.
Usually I don’t buy into any gimmick that spouts ‘amazing superfood/fruit/juice’ (usually coming from the Amazon or some exotic place) but I just so happen to love the subtle sweetness of goji berries and the loud tang of golden berries. In fact, when I eat these clusters I suddenly feel like I’m naked on a mountain top- and loving life.
Will these salted chocolate energy clusters make you love life? Probably. Because I know even shit storms tend to smell better when covered in chocolate.
Speaking of feeling naked-on-a-mountain-top grateful, have you heard about the release of The Fat-Burning Chef Cookbook ?
