Tonight is Gratitude Night! Once a year I get together with a bunch of people who I love and who aren’t related to me for a fun night of dinner, dancing, and inspirational hope. November has been dubbed ‘Gratitude Month’ and I can think of a slew of things I’m grateful for:
*Supportive family & friends who I adore*Good health
*Living on South Beach, loving life
*This great bike-riding weather
*Having enough money to pay a whopping 2 G’s for my stupid root canal/crown
*Getting closer to God, nature, and in tune with the Universal Spirit
*Regular yoga practice
*And of course this new creative outlet in the form of my blog :]
It’s these little things, and sometimes big things, that keep me going. That, and great delicious food.
So you know that feeling you get when you wing a new recipe and it actually turns out good? Well that’s what I got with these bubbling hot pears. It was the perfect sweet/savory combo for a Saturday morning breakfast in November. The recipe can easily be doubled for larger servings. Usually in my household of two I’m either cooking for the two of us or just me, so my recipes usually reflect that in size. Ohwell.
So tell me, what are YOU grateful for?
